But the credit goes to you and rsilva on this one Your knowledge, skill, and intuitiveness accomplished this task so a big GOOD JOB to you both my friends. We all learned something from this and many users who have the same issue will as well.
As for the aftermarket Xenon's. Was the car originally equipped with Xenon's? Does his car register that a headlight is out? If so then yes it may very well be. If the Xenons were originally equipped but don't work now hence the after market kit because factory kits are crazy expensive it could be the problem still exists.
What I would do is go into the CAS and FRM and remove the FA for Xenon headlights and remove the factory xenon module as the fault may reside there but still communicating with the FRM. They are notorious for water ingress. This will tell the FRM no xenons are installed and just regular halogens and won't look for the xenon module anymore and may resolve his problem if it returns. But we will see if he returns back to you after 50 ignition cycles I will most definitely take you up on your offer eventually one of these daysCheer!!MikeSent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk.
